Recently read an article by Times of India, which says that election’s code of conduct will also apply to internet.

This time we see almost every political party trying to get presence in e-space. Its good to see them using open source applications, creating websites and registering on various social networks.

The BJP’s prime ministerial candidate LK Advani has his own website, lkadvani.in, which is proving to be quite popular.  Getting most of  hits from google adwords.

The Congress too has a website Congress.org.in and recently launched another website – vote4congress.com, which has all the current information related to the 2009 Lok Sabha elections.

Previously Lalu Prasad Yadav also started his own blog called ‘Lalu Leela’.

Not just that, this time we see many campaign’s coming up as well.. with TOI’s Lead India and JaagoRe among most  popular ones.

Internet sure will be playing a big role this time in elections.

Don’t think using adsense for advertising will do any job for these political parties.
