The 15th Loksabha Elections will be held in five phases from April 16 to May 13. The Voting dates are 16th April, 23rd April, 30th April, 7th May and 13th May. The Lok sabha election 2009 result will be declared on 16th may 2009.

124 constituencies will vote on April 16, followed by 141 on April 23, 107 April 30, 85 on May 7 and 86 on 13 May. 714 million people are eligible to vote in this election. There will be a total of 828,000 voting stations using the 1.1 million electronic voting machines across the country.

All election-related procedures will be completed before May 28. Counting will take place on May 16, and the next government is formed on 2 June.

Phase 1 : 16 April 2009
Lok Sabha Constituency : Arunachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Manipur, Mizoram, Orissa, Chhattisgarh, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Lakshadweep, Kerala, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand.

Phase 2 : 22 April 2009
Lok Sabha Constituency : Manipur

Phase 2 : 23 April 2009

Lok Sabha Constituencies : Assam, Bihar, Jammu and Kashmir, Madhya Pradesh, Orissa, Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Jharkhand, Goa, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Tripura.

Phase 3 : 30 April 2009

Lok Sabha Constituency : Karnataka, Maharashtra, West Bengal, Gujarat, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Daman and Diu, Uttar Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Sikkim.

Phase 4 : 7 May 2009
Lok Sabha Constituency : Haryana, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Bihar, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan, West Bengal.

Phase 5 : 13 May 2009

Lok Sabha Constituency : Jammu and Kashmir, Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand, Puducherry, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Chandigarh.
